Remember I told you about the knee injury? Yeah, went to SGH with Wayne after work yesterday. I was already limping very badly already. It's kinda swollen and oh well...like can't bend that kind.
So I as usual - 'ai si mai mia' limp my way up that SGH slope...thinking back, it's damn incredible lor. Never mind, at least Wayne is there to laugh at my jokes and we were joking under the bright hot sun. Oh well...Then upon reaching there, was quite worried. I'm in the A&E ward, was expecting to see something dramatic. But upon seeing those people waiting for their turn, I decided to act abit drama, so I limp damn funnily but at the same time try not to aggravate the injury. Was trying to see if I'm able to get in first u see..
Then after registering, I decided that acting dramatic was not the way. Oh well, so I waited for my turn and sat near the aisle. Within the next 5mins, the drama that I was anticipating arrived......Ambulance, people scrambling ard..THEN the trolley got pushed in and among all the sheets of blanket, there is a frail old lady amidst it. The breathing mask almost took up the whole of her face and when the trolley was pushed past in front, I can feel like it's going slow-mo for me to see.
The next thing i know.....her daughters were at one corner crying their hearts out. Damn scary lor...I was like thinking hey, life is really short man. Outside the hospital is a place of opportunities, unlike in the hospital when u are dying and u can't go out anymore. While listening to that old lady's daughters cries, I unknowingly felt tears accumulating in my eyes too. Sighz....
Alright, back to my knee. I went to a Triage - blood pressure, purse and short description of what happen was taken down inside. Then I went on to the consultation corner where i waited for my turn. Then an Indian doctor took a look at my knee and suspected either something was torn OR blood clot (something I dun wan to hear). She advised me to take a urine test cos she scared I'm pregnant. Was going to take Xray u see...So cannot be pregnant. So never mind, I was just making fun at a middle-aged man earlier for leaving his urine at the 'inbox' tray. And gosh, it's the same cup I used for wine-drinking last week at Botanical Gardens!!!
So I went to take my urine miserably and it looks like Savinuogne Blanc(however u spelt it). Oh well, and I called the nurse testing the urine the wine taster. U see, the nurse has to put a litmus paper in there right? But no, for 'wine-tasters' u have to swirl my urine, smell it hard and sip it and let it flow thru your palates...then u will know whether am I pregnant or not. Wayne and I was laughing so hard, my knee starts to hurt again. Lolzzz
Then came the Xray part, the nurse told me to put my legs as straight as possible. Oh well, I did try and half the time, I bit my thumb :p then sideways shot. How cool. I got a glimpse of my thigh bones and shin bones later when I met up with the 'leg doctor'. So after that, I was given a shot in my butt!!! Too bad I wasn't a guy cos that nurse was quite pretty...eh! quite only! Anyway, I was yelping when I went out to look for Wayne. I 'yelped' when I sat down, 'yelped' when I shifted my butt and 'yelped' when the medicine was flowing all ard my butt.
Then next stop...the 'wound doctor' aka 'leg doctor'. I prayed hard not to get ay incisions or watever operation. The doctor gave me 8 days MC. And he said he suspected it could be due to muscle torn. THEN I looked up and saw that gorgeous shot of my thigh and shin bone!! OMG....the fats surrounding my leg made it look damn spoiler! Seriously...even the side view looked damn good. I was looking at my bones and I was like amazed! Oh well..Then he said that he would need to be like 'my-friend' over there. Wayne's friend had the same injury as me, except that his is on the right leg whereas mine is on the left. Then I was so afraid that he's going to cut me up!! cos his leg was sooooo huge! I almost cried...
Then the doctor said, 'don't worry, i am going to have to bandage your leg up to fix up the muscle'. Then I was like 'oh, that's it?' oh well...I scared myself. Then I laid on their surgical bed and the doctors helped me to bandage up my leg and put it in a cast. Not a full cast but more like a partial cast to support my leg and make it straight. I still have to wait for it to set. Gosh, it's damn heavy can! I tried hobbing ard but i'm afraid that my right leg might give way. Never mind, I still have to take crutches.
While waiting for the physioterapist to come, I practised on my own with the crutches...and even before that physioterapist arrived, I left. Take so long, I would have walked out of the hospital myself already. So both Wayne and I went back to my home :)
We ate like we never ate before. So hungry!!
Right after my instant noodles, I slept like a log till the next morning 1030am. Gosh...this is good sleep man.
